Happy Easter!

I am doing an early Easter post as I have found the school break to be so busy with the boys that I thought I might have a little blogging holiday. Archie's birthday is tomorrow (8) and we have so much planned that I cannot see very much computer time happening. But pleeeeease don't think I am leaving my blog... I just don't want to be looking over Archie and Hugos' shoulders longingly to our mighty corner of technology all the time.

Lots of love,

p.s. Happy Easter!!!

Rabbits with Labels.

It must be Easter...

Here are some words directly from the mouth of Hugo to take into the weekend with you:

"To hide from predators that eat Humans; Paint yourself and your clothes green and then you will look like a lock of grass. Don't do this around elephants".

Lots of love,

Egg Cosies and Flowers.

Not much time tonight - we are all heading off to Cubs for Archie's skit night... so here are a few photos to show the flowers and crochet that made up my day. It was a good day.

Beppe Bunny.

This is Beppe Bunny, brother to Floss.

He is a very happy and relaxed fellow... this is what his label says:

"Hello, my name is Beppe Bunny. I am a river rabbit and spend my days by a silvery creek, nibbling sedge grasses and watching fish. Sometimes if I am very quiet and barely twitch, I can hear fish babble. I am still learning to speak fish". He is available along with Floss from here.
Have a lovely Tuesday,

Lots of love, Kate xxooxx.

Lots and lots and lots of flowers....

This is what I did on the weekend... took photos for Shar and revelled in the most glorious of flowers. Really, every weekend should be taken up with such activities, I just loved it.

Lots of other bits and pieces to show you from the last couple of days but I will sign off now as the boys and I went on a school excursion to see the Lynley Dodd "Hairy Maclairy" Retrospective. It was absolutely fantastic but we are all very tuckered out now (how do teachers do it?).

Lots of love,

Kate xxooxx.

Bunnies and Pie... Not Bunnies in Pie!!!

This is Floss.
She would like to play the ukulele but unfortunately lacks opposible (this is a word that I really don't know how to spell and it seems that spell check can't even help out with it - corrections in comments would be very gratefully accepted) thumbs. If truth be told, she doesn't have any thumbs. It makes hitch hiking very difficult.
We are gearing up for the weekend. Last night Jonno and Hugo made a gluten free mince pie for dinner and now the miniature human being is thinking lots of apple pie-ey thoughts, something I am more than happy to help with. Archie has lots of plans for lego and listening to ipod stories and I think I am going to be doing a bit of crochet. Even when Jonno is working, weekends are still good.

Lots of love, Kate xxooxx.

More Easter Wreathing.

The rabbits had their vaccinations yesterday and have been miserable ever since... Any coincidence that my crochet bunny ended up looking like this!!!
We had our first fire a couple of nights ago.... Finn Family Moomintroll, Dad's knee, clean pyjamas and a fire - what a cosy little Hugo.

Lots of love,

Kate xxooxx.

Easter Wreaths.

This is what I have been pottering away on for the past few days. My friend Shar has a beautiful shop and wants me to make Easter wreaths for it... I said okay... and once again did those little secret jumps that pop out right when I am trying to act cool.

Tonight is our first really cold night. I can't wait to snuggle up on the couch with a blanket, hot water bottle, hook, yarn and dare I say, really good t.v.

Lots of love, Kate xxooxx.

Give your egg a little squish and a roll and then you are done. Have fun - I can't wait to see some stripy ones out there and maybe even crazy ones with eyes and ears.... you could even take the ears from the Flora Rabbit pattern.

Good luck!!! Lots of love, Kate xxooxx.
